Congratulations to New River Light & Power's Mariana Greene for winning the ElectriCities Rising Star Award.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, Roy Jones, CEO of ElectriCities, surprised Mariana by announcing the news that she had won by unanimous vote. Formal recognition will occur in August, when Mariana will attend an all-expense paid conference at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C.
Each year, ElectriCities recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions to public power. The Rising Star Award recognizes up-and-coming leaders with less than ten years of experience who have made significant and sustained contributions to the electric utility industry and public power in that short time.
